Information from OTA:
Beginning on January 1, 2024, we have a new way for townships to access all the OTA webinars! The Township Education Subscription will allow townships to make a single payment of $250 to grant all active and affiliate members within the township access to the current and over 115 archived webinars for the calendar year. This provides an opportunity for each township to optimize its resources by attending more webinars at a low cost. We aim to make it easier and more affordable for everyone to take advantage of one of the best benefits the OTA has to offer – township-focused education.
With this subscription, all active and affiliate members of the OTA from the subscribing township will gain access to online training resources. This subscription includes access to new webinars throughout the year and our entire webinar archive found in the Resource Center. The subscription period will begin on January 1 of each year and expire on December 31, regardless of when a township signs up. Your township could save up to 85% a year by enrolling in the Township Education Subscription instead of purchasing webinars individually.
It is important to note that these benefits are exclusively available to OTA members and not offered externally. Additionally, the subscription does not include any conference recordings.
MORE Grant Eligible
The Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority (OTARMA) has approved the education package as a qualified purchase for the Managing Ohio Risk Exposures (MORE) Grant. If your township is an OTARMA member, you can use the MORE Grant funding to pay for the subscription.
Note from LCTA:
Please respond to Rita Canfield or Mark Cunningham if your township plans to sign up for the training class subscription. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you.
If we as a county achieve full participation from all 18 townships we will be able to reduce the cost to $175.00 per township for a full year. Each township will also be able to use our MORE grant funds to pay for the activation into the program. This is a great opportunity for all of our townships to offer training and educational opportunities to our employees, and boards. A chance to make everyone better informed as to their responsibilities as board members and at a very low cost. The program will be available starting in January.
